A big thanks to
kalioseano. You should note, however, that her sketch is missing a button. We discussed it, but I'm not going to make her re-do her sketch for it. So, if using this to make your own reproductions or to comission someone else... THERE ARE THREE BUTTONS.
Thank you so much for sharing these sketches--well, for starting this blog, too, I should say!
ReplyDeleteI came across your posts in my hunt for images of and information about Alice's coat...I actually had already opened an Alchemy request before finding it, so it's become an invaluable resource.
I've settled on my Etsy maker--shaunasworld--and have just begun the process of selecting fabrics. Excited doesn't begin to describe how I feel!
I look forward to future posts from you, as you continue down the road getting your coat and dress made, and I do hope you share plenty of photos. :)

Will do. Feel free to share yours as well::

Ps. If you don't mind me asking... how much is she charging you?
Well, after selecting a $24 per yard velvet (yikes!...but I want it to last), and everything else, it's going to set me back $235.
ReplyDeleteI'm okay with that, considering it's being made to order and made to fit, and I get to control the materials. A well-made ready-to-wear would probably cost as much or more.
Allie do you mind if I ask what you're being charged? I'm trying to find someone to make one for me as well, and I love the sketches so far
ReplyDelete$225.
ReplyDeleteEverything was fine until the screen printing. It turned out pretty bad, so she redid the dress for free without the print.
My girlfriend would love this. She's a big fan of the Alice SciFi series. :)
